Disclaimer

The Microdose Movement is an independent educational community. Read this page carefully before using any information from this site to make decisions about your health, your medication, or your legal exposure.

Educational purpose only

All content on this website — articles, guides, the archetype quiz, member stories, the science pillar, and everything else — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for professional medical, legal, or psychological advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your mental or physical health.

Not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not claim that microdosing treats, cures, prevents, or alleviates any medical condition. The scientific research we cite is real, but it is also incomplete, evolving, and in many cases preliminary. We are honest about what is known and what is not.

If you are taking prescription medication — especially SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, or any other psychiatric medication — there are real interaction risks with psilocybin and other psychedelics. Talk to your prescribing doctor before changing anything.

If you have a personal or family history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other psychotic-spectrum conditions, microdosing may carry additional risks for you. This is not a do-it-yourself decision. Talk to a qualified clinician.

Mental health crisis

If you are in a mental health crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. We are not equipped to provide crisis support and we are not a substitute for it.

Legal status of microdosing

Psilocybin and most other classical psychedelics are controlled substances under federal law in the United States and are illegal in most countries. Possession, cultivation, and distribution can carry serious criminal penalties.

A small number of jurisdictions (Oregon, Colorado, certain cities) have decriminalized or partially legalized psilocybin in specific contexts. The legal landscape is changing rapidly. You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to you, and this site is not a substitute for legal advice.

We do not sell, supply, or facilitate

The Microdose Movement does not sell, supply, distribute, source, or facilitate the purchase of any controlled substance. We do not connect users to suppliers, we do not run a marketplace, and we do not earn commission on any product purchase.

If anyone contacts you claiming to represent The Microdose Movement and offering to sell substances, that is a scam. Report it via the contact form.

Your responsibility

Any decision you make about your health, your medication, your legal exposure, or anything else after reading this site is your decision and your responsibility. We provide information; we do not make choices for you. We strongly encourage you to consult qualified professionals — doctors, therapists, lawyers — for guidance specific to your situation.

Individual experiences vary

The member stories, archetype descriptions, and protocol guides on this site reflect the experiences of specific people in specific circumstances. Your experience will be different. Microdosing is not a uniform experience and there are no guaranteed outcomes. Many people benefit. Some do not. A few find that microdosing is wrong for them. All of these are valid outcomes.

Third-party research

We cite peer-reviewed research from sources including PubMed, Imperial College London, Johns Hopkins, MAPS, and others. We link to these sources directly so you can read them yourself. We do not control the content of third-party sites and we do not warrant the accuracy of their claims.
